Ms. Shirley Sha

Ms. Shirley Sha holds a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Teacher Training) from Liaoning Normal University. She also holds a national Higher Education Teacher Certificate and an IELTS Academic Band 8 score, demonstrating both strong subject mastery and excellent English proficiency.

Ms. Sha has extensive experience teaching middle and high school mathematics in both China and Canada. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher well-versed in the Ontario math curriculum and adept at delivering engaging lessons for Grades 9–12, covering topics such as algebra, functions, calculus, and competitive math extensions. By skillfully blending Eastern rigour with Western inquiry-based approaches, she helps students build strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ms. Sha is known for creating personalized study plans tailored to each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals, maintaining close communication with families to ensure steady academic growth. Many of her students have significantly improved their grades—some progressing from failing scores to solid B’s or higher—and have excelled in EQAO assessments and the Waterloo math contests, paving the way for admission to top high schools and STEM university programs.
