Ms. Anika Anzum Chowdhury

Ms. Anika Anzum Chowdhury is a distinguished educator with over 12 years of international teaching experience, specializing in English, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Currently serving as an IB high school teacher at St. Jude’s Academy in Ontario, she teaches Grades 9–12 Individuals & Societies and ESL courses, integrating the Ontario curriculum with the IB framework.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London and a Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction from the University of Derby, UK. Her academic accolades include multiple honors in International Law and Education Law. She also holds globally recognized certifications including TESOL, TEYL, and TEAL.

Ms. Anika has taught in diverse academic settings—including British legal education institutions, international schools in Bangladesh, and North American e-learning platforms. Her expertise lies in guiding students through complex subjects such as history, geography, global religions, and socio-political discourse, while strengthening their academic writing, debate, and analytical thinking.

Highly respected by students and parents alike, Ms. Anika adapts her lessons to suit each learner’s style and aspirations. At Maple Ridge Academy, she will lead English and Humanities programs for Grades 6–12, offering tailored instruction for students preparing for IB, AP, and competitive academic environments. Her mission is to help every student express with clarity, think critically, and grow confidently on their academic path.
